D-Beta - Type II Diabetes Supplements

Sedentary
lifestyles and a diet rich in high fat, high sugar foods
have led to an increase in Diabetes.
Containing Alpha-Lipoic Acid, D-Beta has been formulated
to help relieve some of the symptoms of this illness.
Studies have shown that Alpha-Lipoic Acid may help
enhance glucose uptake in type II (non-insulin-dependent)
diabetes and inhibit glycosylation (the abnormal attachment
of sugar to protein). It has also been used to help
improve diabetic nerve damage and reduce associated
pain.

What is D-Beta?
D-Beta contains a vitamin like substance called Alpha-Lipoic Acid or ALA. ALA can be made by the body but it also needs to be included in the diet to ensure adequate amounts. ALA is both fat and water soluble, making it a more effective antioxidant than vitamin C or even vitamin E. Research has also shown that ALA helps in the transport of glucose around the body, making this a useful supplement for Diabetics.
What can D-Beta do for me?
|
ALA has been used across Europe for decades to treat diabetic neuropathy, a condition that causes painful peripheral nerve deterioration. Research has shown that regular supplementation with ALA can initiate a reverse in this condition, significantly reducing pain. |
|
ALA has also been shown to help improve the uptake of glucose and reduce insulin dependency. |
|
In adults with Type II or late onset Diabetes, supplementation with ALA has increased the sugar burning capacity of insulin and helped reduce insulin resistance. |
|
Regular use of ALA has also been shown to help diabetics combat a whole host of illnesses usually associated with their condition. These include arteriosclerosis, retinal damage, kidney disease and slow wound healing. |
|
The ALA in D-Beta is also extremely beneficial in the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease. A major cause of heart disease is a condition called arteriosclerosis. This occurs when arteries become narrowed by a fatty build up caused by too much cholesterol in the blood stream. Studies have found that ALA supplementation can reduce cholesterol levels by up to 40%, allowing more oxygen rich blood to reach major internal organs, which may help prevent the occurrence of heart attack and stroke. |
|
In tests, the ALA found in D-Beta has been found to improve visual function. Supplementation of ALA significantly boosts the presence of protective compounds, which can prevent the formation of cataracts and Glaucoma. |
|
Free radicals are harmful toxins we encounter in everyday life. They include air and water pollutants, UV light and first or second hand cigarette smoke. These free radicals can lead to lethargy, reduced energy levels and weakened muscles. ALA is a powerful antioxidant that prevents the damage done by free radicals whilst supporting the detoxifying properties of vitamin C, Vitamin E and Coenzyme Q10. |
